Gail Trunick’s whimsical, crafty and creepy sculptures are conjured from the detritus of life’s neglected corners. It’s a type of zoölogical survey, cataloging the peculiar goblins and fantods that propagate in the junk barns and antique-shop backrooms of America.
I’m a fan of Gail’s work and own several pieces. Her work is fantastic–the small “Eddys” sculpture that resides on my desk at work elicits a lot of happy comments!
I absolutely adore every one of these. Astonishingly great.
I felt connected to several pieces. It was hard to walk away from them.
