We’re on the Utopia Awards shortlist

We’re chuffed to share that we’ve had two pieces shortlisted for the first annual Utopia Awards, established by the good folks over at Solar Punk Magazine.

Check out the shortlist — we’re in amazing(!) company, including such luminaries as Tor.com, Clarkesworld, Neon Hemlock, FIYAH Literary Magazine, and many others.

It’s a thrill and an honor. Public voting runs from Aug. 1-21 — please consider supporting our entries (you can check out direct links below), and spend some time exploring the other truly great contenders in fiction, art, poetry and nonfiction categories.

In the Utopian Art category, we’re rooting for Roger Leege’s exotic and gorgeous gallery “Erewhon and Other Strange Utopias.” Congratulations, Roger, on making the shortlist! Spend some time falling into his strange new worlds.

In the Utopian Nonfiction category, Fabulist editor and publisher @MrJoshuaWilson is bemused but pleased to see that his rambling and digressive essay “Our Winter’s Tales” (which really, really needed someone else to edit it) has nonetheless also landed on the shortlist.

Thanks to Solar Punk Mag for moving this important initiative forward. And, congrats to all the Utopia Award shortlisters! They’re all worthy of your attention and support.
